What Is Onimusha: Way of the Sword?
Onimusha: Way of the Sword is a single-player swordplay action game developed and published by Capcom, released September 4, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch 2. It follows Miyamoto Musashi through a dark-fantasy Edo-era Kyoto overrun by the Genma, where the Oni Gauntlet bound to his arm absorbs souls and fuels his supernatural powers.
The game is mission-based: each chapter sends Musashi to seal demonic "prison windows" across Kyoto, and new Oni powers open routes in districts you cleared earlier. Nothing is missable — free-roam continues until the point of no return before the final mission.
